The last proyect of Mario Ahijado Trio is connecting both Classical and Jazz worlds on stage. Its target is to become the audience more interested in these styles with the support of the shared musical language.
Las noches de Chopin is formed of eight original arrangements on Chopin's Nocturnes for jazz trio. It goes through the most noted jazz styles and fusions such as swing, blues, samba, latin jazz or flamenco.
The performers of this ensemble are Darío Guibert (double bass), Rodrigo Ballesteros (drums) and Mario Ahijado (piano and arrangements)
The proyect was recorded at Black Hill Studios in Talavera de la Reina (Spain) in July 2015 and at Belle Shenkman Studios, London in February 2017.
